VALDA is a UK strength-training app made by Valda Fitness Ltd, founded by Rich Dean and Cheryl Dean. It runs structured programmes on phone, web and watch, calculates the effort of every session with Forge (Pro), and includes free, private cycle tracking. It shows no ads and never sells data.
VALDA is a UK strength-training app (valda.fit). It is not Velda and not the Valda lozenge brand.

Rich Dean
Co-founder & CTO, VALDA
Rich is the solo technical founder behind VALDA. He built the platform — programme parser, watch app, coaching engine, and all — in evenings and weekends alongside a full-time day job. He writes about training programming, strength progression, and the tools serious lifters actually need.
Cheryl Dean
Co-founder, VALDA · Creator of ValdaFREYA
Cheryl is the co-founder whose frustration with the fitness industry's blind spots shaped ValdaFREYA. She writes about training around your cycle, women's health data, and why half the population deserves better than a separate wellness app that knows nothing about their deadlift.

- Free to start. Pro is £5 a month or £39.99 a year on the web. Cycle tracking is free forever.
- Privacy
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and cycle data is never shared socially. A coach only sees your cycle data if you allow it, one step at a time, and you can take that back whenever you like. Cycle data is also encrypted field by field.
